The optimization of material flow systems requires a profound understanding the underlying processes. Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) is an established way creating process model that allows interdisciplinary analysis optimization. Quantitative exploration using discrete-event simulation can help to enrich these insights. For reason, this paper introduces combined BPMN approach connects advantages both modeling frameworks. By synthesizing from generic modules, comprehensive yet structured chain developed. A case study evaluation based on key metrics for flow.
